Some Gauls and a sad conclusion!

Hi gents,

I have come to the sad conclusion that I just don't have enough room and therefore something has to give.I added 6 new cabinets to the games room (Total now 17) to tidy up the overspill and these are now just about full so its time to rationalise a bit.I have been selling off some bits and pieces to make room for the new stuff but will really have to have a serious think about how to proceed. The Napoleonic collection is continuing and the Italian Wars collection is carrying on at present but I still want to do the Crusades in 28mm The Ottoman expansion wars  of the 15th century  a Zulu/British and a Trojan collection
Chariots move by abandoned Roman outpost.

I think they must have seen the size of his sword.

The chariot in front is by Phil Olley

Just a few bits and pieces to get for this collection oops there I go again!

James Roach brush work.

Dave Imrie supplied the fort by Touching History.
More through the week.
Best wishes
Willie

  1. Great work, once again!
Your chariots, and the fort, are really nice...my favourite figure is the archer, really impressive!

  2. Alas there is only so much time and space, Willie! Better to focus on a limited number of big projects, as you suggest. 17 cabinets, phew!

I need to flog some bits off, too, to make space in my ONE cabinet (jealous ;-) ).

    Cheers, Simon

  4. That must be a wrench for you. Have you considered adding shelves to the cabinets as a stop-gap? Storing some of the collection in boxes and then rotating the periods/armies that are out on display?

That fort is wonderful and the chariots are great :)

  5. They look great. Sorry you're having to do the dreaded "clean out" for space. I just recently did that myself.

  8. You never just make a post. You make full presentations with some serious story-telling going on in them.

Please - keep it up. :-)

  11. Willie I would love to see you do the Ottomans in the 15th century, surely an army you can use against so many opponents and well into the 16th century as well
