Some Peninsular conversions

Hi gents,

Feels like ages since I last posted been very busy of late.The Friday previous to the last one I received a text from the wife asking if I would help paint our sons room 3:30pm.When I got home I realised that she meant that night,She had managed to break his bed while moving it for me to paint the walls.So on my return home I had to dismantle one unit which housed his TV and games put his bed back together and then paint the walls.Next day it was a trip to Ikea for new units fit his TV to the wall and a trip to the dump with his old units,I had to laugh when on the Sunday my wife who had left me to it said we did that really quick and it was no bother to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came across the idea for these conversions in WSS  the work of Bill Gaskin perry miniatures with some head swaps.

Pontooniers

Hi gents,

I think all this rain is pointing me in the aquatic direction!I came across this idea on the Lead Adventure Forum and thought I would pinch it.These are Redoubt ACW figures with small additions to turn them into Napoleonic.This may be the last post for a couple of weeks as I have had my fill of rain and am heading off with the family to catch some sun.The painters are still working away so should be plenty to see on my return Napoleonic from Tony and Dave.  Romans and Italian wars from James who dropped me a line last week to let me know these are on the blocks!

Redoubt figures with Perry  heads.

The pontoon is from Rendra its upside down in these shots.

I added water canteens and ammo boxes also.

Looking forward to seeing these coloured in.

Again a few water bottles added.

I think the heads look quite good on these.
I will try and get one more post in before I head off into the sun.

A salute to the painters

Hi gents,
As the year starts to close I thought it appropriate to give recognition to the painters whose work you see on this site no narrative the pictures speak for themselves.

Work in progress

Hi gent's
Thought I would post the progress on the French line started last Friday,I had the idea that I would complete these in a weekend but took a lot longer than I thought nearly done now though.

Foundry  French line.

Still to do some minor work to these buttons etc.

Will finish the command on Sunday.

Will do this figure last.

No where near the standard of the figure painters but once based should look ok.

Took advantage of the Foundry sale so have loads more of these hear.
Expecting a load of new arrivals tomorrow  so loads of new pics to come.

Hungarian Collection

Hi guys,

Problems with the Pc usb ports which has prevented new pics of late so thought I would update on the sculpting front.These are now starting to take shape with the Hungarian knights almost done by Josef Ochmann.

Josef starts with preliminary scketchs these sculpts these are for the foot.

Dollies for this collection look a bit rough at this stage but really come together later.

Green stuff applied to the dollies.

The knights have been done with separate heads and arms for maximun varity in poses.

These will be off to be moulded shortly and then off to the painter to finish then off.
New additions to the collection this week more Spanish buildings  more Landsknechts some Samurai a huge amount of Italian wars figures these now to be sent to James for colouring in and some napoleonics painted by me! pics of all of these once the Pc is up and running again properly.
