  1. Some excellent answers here and some interesting left field ones too.

    1. Thanks it was a lot harder than I thought it would be!

  2. Some great choices Willie, loved The Flashing Blade when I was a kid, I've never seen of even heard of The Bowery??? And the Flower Duet, what a peice of music, it always makes the hairs on my arms stand up!!

  3. Cheers Ray,

The Bowery I saw in my twentys and is a fantastic flim. George Raft and Wallace Beery are rivals and compete to see who is the top man. Great fun to watch!
    Flower Duet always a favorite!

  4. Devilishly hard to resist this wasn't it? Love your answers Willie; how did I forget Schiendler's List?

  5. It was Michael took me a while.
There were lots of films I could have added but decided on the ones that if I flick a channel and its on its watched!

Schiendler's is the one film that for me captures all humanity good or bad!!

  6. Great answers Willy, and interesting too, I think it is difficult to put these things down for posterity but a good read, though I don't think Kiplings 'If@ counts as a song. :-)

  7. Hmmm, I'd have to stay more on my side of the world - I'm going with Sengoku Samurai stuff instead of Crusades - great though that be. I agree wholeheartedly with "Man Who Would Be King" too! Best, Dean

  8. Great answers willie...i guess I would have to go with the Civil War for obvious reasons and i like your movie picks. I think the 30s and 40s are the best my favorite being Cagney... White Heat

    1. Love Cagney white heat is a great movie!

ACW you are the man !!!!
