St Lazurus

I had wanted to do the Knights of St Lazarus for some time now but wanted to try something a bit different with them. I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn't sure how to do it. A lot of looking on the web after which came up with this idea for the Leper Knights see what you think.

Head from Games workshop Zombie

I added a bit of green stuff to make this ones hood.

Knights who had leprosy were sent to join the order.

The bodies are Perry miniatures

I think there must have been a bit of added terror when facing these knights.

I have a banner to add to the unit which has bells hanging from it.

The knights moving through Acre.
So did it work ?I personally really like the look of them!
Thanks for stopping by
Willie

  6. Wow, amazing! I've been interested in the Knights of St. Lazarus fo years, but never seen miniature versions until just now. Well done, Willie! Will they have a special rule for "instilling terror" in their targets when they charge, a negative morale modifier for the enemy?

I think that would be a great idea I have a banner which is to be painted which has bells attached to it to warn of the arrival of the leper monks and also some bells to attach to the horses. So maybe a rule within hearing distance of the bells to strike terror!

I am using a bit of artistic licence here though as the bell was not used to warn of the affliction it was to attract attention when begging!!

  8. Very nice pictures and my compliments for the your original idea and the way in which you achieved it. I'm preparing a group of Hospitaller knights for Saga but I haven't finished them yet. I hope to prepare miniatures at the same level.
