Somewhere near Arsuf

Hi gents A few more pics of the Crusade collection this time loosely based on the battle in the woods on the road to Arsuf. Once I have enough figures I hope to represent the battle a bit better with the baggage and ships on the shoreline.
Saracen's in the woods

Coeur de Leon and his entourage

Robert de Dreux

All painted by Dave Jarvis again

I really like the colour of all the different knights

The action on the ground

A few conversions

This bishop is one of my favourites

The host charge

An ancestor of Otto de Grandson

A whole load of figures now with Dave so hopefully some new additions coming this month.
Thanks for stopping by.
Willie

Ps If anyone's interested a few of my old Crusaders are on eBay now.

  3. Gorgeous collection - there is something about early heraldry - the simple geometric designs (not simple to paint, though) translate well on barding and such. Best, Dean
